Delete yourGORydz Freight account

You can permanently delete your GORydz Freight account at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what we're legally required to keep.

How to delete your account

Pick whichever path is easiest. Both have the same result.

Option 1 · In the app (fastest)

  1. Open the GORydz Freight Rider or GORydz Freight Driver app and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile or Settings → Account.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Re-enter your password to confirm it's you.
  5. Type the word DELETE in the confirmation field and submit.

Your account is deleted immediately. You'll be signed out and the app returns to the login screen.

Option 2 · By email

Email us from the address on your account and we'll process the deletion manually within 30 days.

Include in your message:
  • The phrase “Delete my account”
  • The email address registered with your account
  • Whether you're a rider or driver

Before you delete

  • Complete or cancel any active trip. The app blocks deletion while a trip is in progress.
  • Cash out any pending balance (drivers) — credits cannot be transferred to a new account.
  • Save any receipts you need. Once deleted, trip history is no longer accessible from the app.
  • Deletion is permanent. A new sign-up with the same email or phone starts a fresh account with no history.

What we delete vs. keep

We delete everything we're allowed to. A small amount of data is retained or anonymized because we're required to under U.S. tax, payment, and safety laws.

Deleted immediately

  • Your name, email, password, phone number, date of birth
  • Profile photo
  • Saved addresses, home/work locations
  • Saved payment methods (Stripe tokens)
  • Notification preferences and push tokens
  • Rider profile / driver profile records
  • Emergency contacts
  • Crypto wallet links (if any)
  • Linked devices / login sessions
  • In-app chat messages (trip_messages)
  • Trips that never reached “completed” status
  • Driver: license + insurance + vehicle docs, vehicle records, location history
  • Active sessions are immediately signed out

Anonymized or retained (with retention period)

  • Completed and cancelled trips — kept for U.S. federal and state tax-reporting and platform safety review. Personal identifiers are removed and the trip is reassigned to an anonymous sentinel record. Retained for 7 years.
  • Payment / payout records — held by Stripe under PCI-DSS and IRS retention rules. We cannot delete records held by Stripe on our behalf. Retained for 7 years.
  • Account-deletion audit row — we log the deletion event itself (user ID, role, timestamp, optional reason) to comply with consumer-protection inquiries. Retained for 3 years.
  • Aggregated, non-identifying analytics — counts of trips, total miles, fare aggregates. No way to link back to you. Retained indefinitely.
  • Server log files — IP addresses and request logs may appear in server logs for up to 90 days before they rotate out.

Want to delete only some data, not your whole account?

You can request partial deletion (e.g., your saved addresses, your trip history, your profile photo) without closing the account.
